LGSP6 – Nell Ball Hill with designated Trig Point (Plaistow Mount), Dunsfold Road, Plaistow. This site is under a Planning Article 4 Direction (1985). Nell Ball is an important historic landmark for Plaistow village and the Parish. Old maps refer to Nell Ball as Knells Knoll and later, Knell Ball. It is a hill of a tumuli appearance, situated on the edge of the village. There is much local folklore associated with the hill.
