Chichester Living CIC was launched last year and which I am delighted to introduce to you. Chichester Living (www.chichesterliving.com) is a local digital resource which is completely free of charge, providing a community platform and weekly newsletters helping residents across the Chichester district discover what’s happening in the area. It is also shortly to be supported across various social media platforms. Whilst anyone in the world can access a website, the main target audience of the site is the local community. However, residents do not form a homogenous group and will obviously fall into several other categories - they shop, eat out, work, learn, teach, play sports, attend events, volunteer as well as running businesses and charities. Therefore the scope of the content is very broad and we endeavour to support all sectors. In reality the main focus falls to the following:

  • Local events and activities
  • Arts, culture and heritage
  • Wellbeing and learning opportunities
  • Things to do for individuals, families and their visitors

Supporting charities and local networking events

Our aim is simple: to help people “learn something new and do something different” locally, whilst also supporting community organisations, charities, venues and small businesses by giving them greater visibility. The newsletter is free to subscribe to and is sent weekly, highlighting a curated selection of what’s on across the district. Event organisers can add their events completely free of charge and can send news items/press releases and suggestions for blog items for inclusion on the site.
